'A patriot of the Revolution who served more than 6 years in the Continental regular army. Germantown-Monmouth-Yorktown' Arnold found a slate stone for him in a separate lot (Jonathan Briggs Lot-CY173) [SAR: 1777 Private in Capt. Thomas Hughes's Co.; Col. Angell's Reg't- served to close of war.] Removed to Manchester Cemetery-CY109, between 1905 and 1930, where a marble replacement stone was placed [Rev. War pension file #S38583 / W23686 says he was b. April 1755, d. 23 Dec 1837, mar. 25 Mar 1783 Abigail Greene]
