attended West Point 1819-1823; Officer of Artillery until 1836. Reentered the army as a Col 60th Reg't of NY Vols. Promoted to Brigadier General then Major General. Faught in several Civil War battles and was severly wounded. The sword and the bronze plaque are missing in 1995. The sword is at the Kentish Guard Amory in East Greenwich and the plaque was turned in by a scrap metal dealer in West Warwick and is now at the Warwick City Hall. died: MORRISTOWN, NJ
