NotesArnold read this stone as Immanual Case, Jan. 13, 1733 age 66. It is a very difficult to read this crudely inscribed schist stone. With 50 mirror aided photos and four hours of study I was finally able to read and sketch this gravestone. "IN MEMORY OF / MR JOSEPH CASE / IV [JR] WHO DIED / IANVARY Ye 13 / 1739 AGED / 63 YAERS (sic)" The South Kingstown probate records show he made his will 11 Jan. 1739 and it was proved 11 Feb. 1739, Vol. 3 , pg. 127-129.
