CommentDenison recorded this lot in 1867: "On the lands of the heirs of Mr. Russell Cottrell, on the south side of the new road, in the road, nearly thirty rods east of the Cottrell farmhouse, inclosed by a fence, are about a dozen graves all without inscriptions. Here lie the remains of Elias Cottrell and his wife, Phalley Cottrell, Thankful Cottrell, Gorton Cottrell, and Fanny Cottrell.
