Comment
About 1920 this cemetery was oblterated to make way for a tennis court. All data is from Rev Frederic Denison "Westerly and Its Witnesses" He described it in 1867 as: "This is a large unfenced spot in the southeast corner of a field now owned by George D. Cross on the east side of the highway leading to Lottery Village just below the village of Westerly and in front of the house of Thomas E. Saunders." In a 1925 issue of the Westerly Sun is an article that mentions workmen unearthing a number of skeletons while excavating for a tennis court on Moore Road off Beach Street.
