CommentThis lot is located 250 ft west of Bald Hill Road at telephone pole #118, on a hill between the Barnes and Noble book store [later Best Buy] parking lot and the Edward’s Super Store (1996). All of the stones are down but none is broken. This cemetery has been photographed and has been the subject of several newspaper articles because of the way retail development has encroached on the cemetery, leaving it high above its surroundings. It is 25 ft x 20 ft, in fair condition, enclosed by a stone wall and iron gate. It contains six burials with five inscribed stones. It is on the tax assessor’s map, Plat #254, Lot #5. James Arnold recorded this lot 28 Aug. 1892 and noted, “on the Harris Arnold farm, walled” (Vol. 4, p. 234). Recorded by John Sterling for a book on Warwick cemeteries.
