| Comment | This cemetery is located 100 ft east of West Shore Road at Armstrong Avenue, behind the Shawomet Baptist Church. The cemetery is 90 ft x 70 ft, in good condition, enclosed with granite posts and iron rails. It contains 40 burials with 33 inscribed stones and five fieldstones. There are three lots side by side at this location, each surrounded by granite posts and iron rails. This cemetery is the oldest of the three. The second has no gravestones, and the third was originally located at Warwick Neck according to the Arnold Transcript. It has been designated Warwick historical cemetery #152 (WK152). The historic cemetery sign is in good condition. It is on the tax assessor’s map, Plat #354, Lot #215.
James Arnold visited this lot 1 July 1894 and noted, “at Old Warwick in sight of the present Baptist Church, lot protected by granite posts and iron rails, yard in good order” (Vol. 29, p. 129).
