This cemetery has been removed to Greenwood Cemetery in Coventry (CY059) and Swan Point Cemetery in Providence (PV003). It was located one half mile east of Bald Hill Road at telephone pole #33, where Macy’s department store is located today. It was moved to make way for the mall in the early 1970s. It contained 50 burials with 30 inscribed stones. James Arnold visited this lot 20 Sept. 1891 and noted, “on the farm of Judge Arnold south of Pontiac Village, lot protected with granite posts & iron rails, some neglected” (Vol. 4, p. 104). Arthur James called it ‘Island Farm’ (Vol. 29, p. 212). Charles and Martha Benns recorded this lot in 1936, their #661. The map numbers below were developed from the Arnold transcript, when the cemetery was in its original location and order. No map is provided because the gravestones are no longer in their original positions. Recorded by John Sterling for a book on Warwick cemeteries.
