Transcribed by James N Arnold Sept 4 & 6, 1919 (Vol 25 pp 180-218). He describes it as follows: "Greenville cemetery. Second Division, South West. In the cemetery on the opposite side of the road, with a large tomb in front, beside the road. The cemetery is poorly fenced. These lots are mostly in fair or good order." James N Arnold also states on page 212 that "Here were several graves of the Harris Family with a fine granite block. These have been recently removed to Swan Point." Additional information was added by Grace G Tillinghast (Vol 25, pp218-218A) in 1932, and by Emma H Robertson (Vol 25, page 218A) in 1938. Transcribed by Charles & Martha Benns (Vol IV page 148). They assigned it #749 and described it as follows: "From large cemetery at Greenville" Transcribed by Ethel M White. In her transcription she states that the owner is Lucius Whipple. Ron Farrar also transcribed in late 1960's. Transcribed by Roger Beaudry June 27, 1997 thru December, 2003. The town of Smithfield maintains the cemetery. The cemetery covers approximately 2 acres and is believed to be owned by the Greenville Cemetery Corp. Attempts to find the actual owner and any of its records were unsuccessful.
