Comment | This cemetery was removed to Elm Grove Cemetery, NK 26, lot 108, in No. Kingstown sometime after James N. Arnold visited it Mar 18, 1880.
James N. Arnold recorded this lot, his #65, noting “on south side of road leading from Mooresfield to Slocumville [Stoney Fort Road] a distance from the former place we find two graves, one marked rudely, lot fairly protected.” “Wife’s grave probably beside this with rude mark.” Edward Carr’s wife [Catharine] was identified from her gravestone in NK026.
Identified, registered, and recorded by John Sterling & James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries. |
