This cemetery was removed to the Perryville Church Cemetery sometime after Oct. 11, 1880 when it was recorded by James N. Arnold. He numbered it #157, noting “on the old Carpenter Homestead north of the old mansion house now down, west of the Commodore Perry farm a burial yard of the family as follows. Lot walled but in rather poor condition.” The original cemetery had thirteen burials with five inscribed stones and eight fieldstones. Identified, registered, and recorded by John Sterling & James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
