Comment | Scituate Reservoir general plan: sheet A-12, parcel 852 Photo 173. On the
Angell farm north of Richmond Hill and near mill trench, lot 11 x 33 feet,
fenced with granite posts and two 1 1/2 inch iron pipe rails (could be used
again). Some burials outside of lot. Notes taken June 25, 1915 and revised
in April 1917. Remains from graves 1 to 7 inclusive moved to Smithville
Cemetery, North Scituate sometime in August 1916 by A. L. Wood without the
knowledge of the Board.
Partly (#1 - #7) enclosed with granite posts and two 1 1/2 inch iron rails.
Pres. J. B. Angell, Michigan University, Ann Arbor, Michigan, his sister,
Hannah Coggeshall, Providence, and Lacross and Hill at Braiding Mill,
Pettaconset, Cranston, RI perhaps could be consulted previous to removal of
remains of bodies. |
