CommentFebruary 27, 1880, his #6, James Arnold "On land of Oliver Gardner a short distance south of his house is an ancient yard in which we counted 18 large and 16 smaller graves marked by rude stones only. Lot entirely unprotected. Mr. Gardiner says his great grandparents were there together with their families. His grandparents are buried on the "Roome" farm," see NK029. Mr. Gardiner had built a new burial plot northwest of his house for him and his family. See NK049.
