CommentBehind Quidnessett Baptist Church. 100 acres. Marjorie Swift works in office established in 1902 Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery has been developed as a lovely memorial park which follows the contour of the land upon which the legacy of lasting memorials can be built. 14 old burial plots were removed from South Quidnessett farms to make room for the former Quonset Naval Air Station during WWII in 1941. They were reburied at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. Section 29 contains some of North Kingstown’s oldest and most remarkable headstones : ALLENS, SPINKS, DYERS, WESTCOTTS, GREENES, CLARKES, COREYS and ELDREDS. Within the undeveloped land we occasionally find old burial stones on cemetery property, which will remain undisturbed and preserved.
