NotesThe only thing that can be read on this crudely inscribed fieldstone after using mirrors, water, scrub brushes and every technique we know in 1999 is: "FEB 1802Shippee; 92y : of his AGE" Speculation is that it is Thomas Shippee, son of Samuel, whose will was probated on March 6, 1802. If this is his stone his birth year would be 1710. His birth is not in the EG VR but he was married 24 Dec 1732.
