[Quaker records: was killed strangely at Portsmouth in her house. Was twice viewed by the Crowns Inquest digged up and buried again by her husband's grave in their own land. See the essay "A Murder, So Vile (or was it?)" in John T. Pierce Sr.'s "Historical Tracts of the Town of Portsmouth, Rhode Island," Portsmouth, RI, 1991, pp. 61-62 for more details of her death. Her son Thomas was convicted of her murder and hanged.
