NotesBeaman commented 'Latin Inscription' but it reads: "Frence emigree who died in Newport and were interred here in 1807. Their remains were removed to Greenwood Cemetery [Brooklyn, NY] and placed in the vault of Jean Nicholas Gilbert, husband of their daughter, Catharine Anne in 1893."
