CommentLocated beside South Woody Hill Road on the east side in front of #49 (Woody Hill Gardens). This is 1/2 mi north of Post Rd. Rev. Frederic Denison recorded this lot 1867-8: "This is situated north of the post road, by the side of the drift-way, on the land of the late Henry C. Gavitt, some rods southeast from the house, on the east side of the highway, and is well inclosed by a wall…also, a half dozen unlettered graves. This was once known as the Wells Ground, but bodies have been removed to River Bend Cemetery."
