| Comment | This burial ground is located beside Young Orchard Road at telephone pole #3, just east of the house at #18 Young Orchard Road. It is 30 ft x 30 ft, in good condition, with no enclosure. The cemetery sign is in good condition. There were 13 gravestones in 1890, but only 3 remain in 1994. It is on the tax assessor’s map Plat #294, Lot #171.
James Arnold visited this yard 10 Aug. 1890 and noted, “west of the station at Lakewood at the edge of the woods in an open field, not protected, some neglected” (Vol. 3, p. 34). Charles and Martha Benns recorded this lot in 1936, their #635. Only three stones remain in 1994. Several have been removed to Pawtuxet Highland Cemetery.
