Comment | Transcribed by James N Arnold October 23, 1919, (Vol 25 pp361-378). He describes lot as follows:
"On the Judge Daniel Mowry Farm back of and yet in sight of the road a burial yard of the Mowry and allied families. This yard is walled, lot in fair condition."
A few stones transcribed by Grace G Tillinghast (Vol 25, page 361)
Transcribed by Charles & Martha Benns (Vol IV, pp32-33). They assigned it #582 and described its location as "at Smithfield airport"
Transcribed by Ethel M White, May 4, 1937. "Smithfield airport, Emin (Emmons) Road in rear of Mowry cemetery.
Transcribed by Ron Farrar who described its location as "Near Bryant Unistructure, John Mowry Road"
Transcribed by Roger Beaudry February 1, 1997. The main burial ground is 125 ft x 69 ft. surrounded by a stone wall. Within this lot is a smaller lot 32 ft x 28 ft surrounded by granite posts with iron rails. This smaller lot has been given the designation of "Section A" for mapping purposes. Many footstones are leaning against the wall out of position. They were probably moved there to help in mowing although it appears that the lot hadn't been cleared in quite some time.
Benns recorded two stones, Thomas & Polly Mowry, as being in a Glocester
Cemetery #561 (Vol IV, page 23). They also recorded these two stones in this cemetery. |
