CommentDate of Arnold’s visit: Apr. 14, 1880 His number: #90 Arnold’s comments: “a short distance from the above two burial yards [SK 191, SK 162] south in corner of pasture lot otherwise unprotected, is a colored yard.” Our comments: Daniel Stedman wrote in his journal for Apr. 2, 1852: “At Night Died Wife of Mr. George Perry (Colored) at Wakefield with the Consumption. She left 2 Small Children, I am informed.” This cemetery is at the foot of Tower Hill probably on Middlebridge Road. Formerly known as SK 554.
