CommentThis cemetery has not been found Date of Arnold’s visit: Feb. 20, 1880, His number: #2 Arnold’s comments: “a matter of about four rods (64 ft.) from the yard on page 3 [SK 8] (probably north) is a burial plot containing about 15 graves, no doubt others have been plowed up, supposed to be those of George Tefft and family, graves with rude stones only. Lot with no protection. A few years will sweep it out of recognition.” Our comments: This area is east of Plains Road on property of the University of Rhode Island. There is an old gravel pit in this location, and no cemetery could be found. Formerly known as SK 523.
