CommentThis cemetery is located 160 feet west of North Pasture Lane, behind the house at #56. It is fifteen feet square, in fair condition, with no enclosure and no historical cemetery sign. There are three burials all marked with fieldstones, one of them inscribed I. F. for Isaac Fowler. This land (24 acres) was purchased by Isaac Fowler in 1762 from Stephen Tefft of Newport. It passed through probate to his son Simeon Fowler in 1773. In 1777 Simeon sold the 24 acres to Samuel Tefft of Richmond. See a more complete story of this lot in the So. Kingstown cemetery book published by the RI Genealogical Society in 2003. Found, registered, and recorded by John Sterling & James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
