CommentThis cemetery no longer exists in its original location. The Mary Ann Harvey stone was located in Oakdell Cemetery, SK 37, in section G with other Harveys. James N. Arnold recorded this lot Mar. 6, 1881, his #275, “on land of [not given] beside wall with no other protection.” He found three inscribed stones and seven fieldstone marked graves. This cemetery was recorded by him same day as Carpenter-Cook lot, SK 105, on Allen Avenue, so it was probably located near the center of Wakefield. Daniel Stedman mentions in his journal Feb. 26, 1841 that his mother died at Edward H. Harvey’s. Identified, registered, and recorded by John Sterling & James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
