This cemetery is located 1450 feet south of Route #1, and 1240 feet east of Matunuck Beach Road at telephone pole #10. It is just west of Potter Pond. It can be reached by following the first driveway east of Matunuck Beach Road running south from Route #1. Follow this driveway almost to the end and stop next to corn field on the right. The cemetery is off the southeast corner of this cornfield. It is forty feet square, surrounded by a fine cut stone wall with an iron gate, and it has no historical cemetery sign. There are three burials with two inscribed stones and one fieldstone. The two inscribed stones postdate the James N. Arnold visit to this area in 1880, but this is probably his #180 that he recorded Oct. 15, 1880, “on the Jonathan Clarke land west of his house lot walled, faced and pointed in fine order.” Found, registered, and recorded by John Sterling & James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
