CommentThis cemetery is east of Ministerial Road approximately one-quarter mile north of Old Post Road between telephone poles #157 and #158. Turn east from Ministerial Road at #619, and drive about 0.6 miles to the last house (the old Kittredge house) now occupied by the Reynolds family in 2003. The house is at the head of Long Pond. The cemetery is one hundred yards north of the house. It is 76 feet x 108 feet, in good condition, enclosed with a stone wall. There is no historical cemetery sign. There are 37 burials with thirty inscribed stones and seven fieldstones. James N. Arnold visited this lot Oct. 6, 1880, his #136, “north of house of John Tucker in orchard fenced a burial yard of his family.” Found, registered, and recorded by John Sterling & James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
