This cemetery is located 250 feet north of the road at #1245 Matunuck Schoolhouse Road at telephone pole # 6731 / 25 / 52 about one mile west of Moonstone Beach Road. This is opposite Coddington Way. It is forty feet square, with a stone wall on the north and east sides, and it contained 21 burials with three inscribed stones and eighteen fieldstones. The marble stones for Peleg Babcock, his wife Sarah, and their daughter were moved to the Perryville Cemetery (SK047) after Arnold visited this cemetery in 1880. James N. Arnold recorded this lot Oct. 8, 1880, his #152, “on land of Christopher Browning south of farm house in open lot unprotected.” “Note this yard is overrun with a dense growth of briers and weeds.” Found, registered, and recorded by John Sterling & James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
