This cemetery is located 150 feet north of Allen Avenue behind #39. It is also 150 feet east of high Street. It is in the northeast corner of the lot in a wooded area. It is forty by thirty feet, in poor condition, enclosed with a stone wall, and no historical cemetery sign. It contains six burials with five inscribed stones and one fieldstone marked grave. James N. Arnold recorded this cemetery Mar. 16, 1881, his #273 “on land of Stephen C. Carpenter north of his house, lot fenced.” He noted five inscribed stones and one small fieldstone marked grave. The Petttaquamscutt Historical Society transcript says “at least one stone has been removed. In 1957 there was a person named Cook buried here.” In 1881 Arnold did not record a gravestone for a Cook, he only listed the five stones listed below and one rude stone. Found, registered, and recorded by John Sterling & James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
