The Oliver Watson lot is located 1050 feet west of Fairgrounds Road at telephone pole #4 / 4791¾, southwest of Hundred Acre Pond. Enter the driveway at pole #4, and drive to the house at #812 Fairgrounds Road. Follow the path directly behind the house and garage for about nine hundred feet up the hill to the cemetery. The gate is in the northeast corner of the lot. The lot is 130 feet x 110 feet, in good condition, enclosed with a stone wall with an iron gate. The historical cemetery sign is missing. It contains 35 burials with thirty inscribed stones and five fieldstones. James N. Arnold visited this lot Feb. 26, 1880, his #32, “on land belonging to Benjamin Watson northwest from the old homestead house a burial yard containing the members of the Watson family. Lot handsomely fenced with double faced wall.” Recorded by John Sterling and James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
