CommentThis cemetery is located 1,050 feet northwest of Fairgrounds Road at telephone. It is two hundred feet behind the fence at the back of APC on Fairgrounds Road. To get to the cemetery, enter the trail behind telephone pole #40-S on Liberty Road and go northeast behind the APC fence for 1,550 feet to the cemetery or go to the end of Shickasheen Way and head southwest behind the APC parking lot. It is 75 feet x 55 feet, in good condition, with no enclosure, and the historical cemetery sign is in fair condition. It contains eighteen burials with three inscribed stones and fifteen fieldstones. One gravestone, the Robert Robinson stone, was removed to Riverside Cemetery in Wakefield (SK043) sometime between 1880 and 1990. James N. Arnold visited this lot Feb. 26, 1880, his #35, “the old Bradford burial ground a few rods west of the fair grounds at West Kingston lot entirely unprotected.” Recorded by John Sterling and James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
