Comment
This large Catholic cemetery is located just south George Schaeffer Street at the west end of this street. It was started about 1880. As with Riverside, another large cemetery of the same era, the many burials that predate 1880 show that families bought lots in the new cemetery and moved their relatives into their new lot. Many were moved from the Old Saint Francis Cemetery by the town hall (SK 42). It has about 3,500 burials with 2,689 inscribed stones. Transcription by Dr. Bill Eddleman recorded in 1992.
