CommentThis cemetery is located 15 feet west of South Road at telephone pole #66 and 700 feet north of Curtis Corner and 0.31 mile south of the bike trail (old Narragansett railroad bed). It is 65 feet x 70 feet, in fair condition, enclosed with a stone wall, and the historical cemetery sign is in good condition. It contains 41 burials with 29 inscribed stones and twelve fieldstones. James N. Arnold counted twelve fieldstones, but several of these could not be found in 1995. James N. Arnold visited this lot Feb. 25, 1880, his #20, “a short distance from the cross roads at Curtis Corner, north beside the public road, lot well walled in, bank on road, and planted with evergreens.” Recorded by John Sterling and James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
