CommentThis cemetery is located 175 feet south of Kingston Road, Route #138, at telephone pole #70. It is forty feet square, in fair condition, enclosed with granite posts and iron rails with an iron gate. The historical cemetery sign in fair condition. There are ten inscribed marble stones and two inscribed granite stones marking graves in this cemetery. James N. Arnold visited this lot Nov. 12, 1880, his cemetery #234, “on land of George L. Hazard east of his house in open lot, yard fenced, granite curbed posts and iron rails.” Charles and Martha Benns visited this cemetery (their #697) about 1935, but they thought it was in the neighboring town of Richmond, R.I. Recorded by John Sterling and James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
