Comment
This cemetery is located fifteen feet east of Glen Rock Road between telephone pole #26 and #25, just south of James Trail. It is 110 feet x 35 feet, in good condition, with no enclosure, and the historical cemetery sign is in fair condition. There are 48 burials with eighteen inscribed stones and 23 fieldstones. Some fieldstones are crudely inscribed. James N. Arnold recorded this lot Nov. 17, 1880, noting “on land of Col. Moses Barber beside road in lot unprotected a burial yard of his family.” Note the several corrections to his reading of the crudely inscribed fieldstones. Recorded by John Sterling and James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
