Located 70 feet west of West Greenville Road Road (route #116) behind the Church of the Congregation. It is 5 acres. The charter of proprietors of Smithville Cemetery issued 18 Mar 1864. James N Arnold visited this lot 30 Sep 1904 (Vol 1, Pg 152) At No. Scituate, the North Cemetery is the largest and best kept one in town. The best kept with the single exception of the one at Ponagansett. The interments are double of those in any other yard in town. Recorded in 1998 by John Sterling who assigned the section letters and map numbers. Gravestones photographed by Julie Nathanson 2019-2021. 5 acres, in rear of church.
