Details on this cemetery come from a July 5, 1912 newspaper article about a steam shovel accidentally unearthing 7 skulls and other bones on the east side of Broad St. a few feet from the Harbor Junction cut of the New Haven road, where the Grand Trunk roadbed is being excavated. It was located opposite the Broad Street entrance to Roger Williams Park. It was located near 41° 47' 34.70" N 71° 24' 28.35" W but the exact location will never be known. Wamsleys' are believed to be Native Americans (Wampanoag Indians).
