CommentA single stone known only through Richardson's transcription (Richardson Scrapbook 974 at Newport Historical Society, p. 46). He described the location as "Dennis Murphy House, a few rods southeasterly in the roadway or path" on the east side of Wapping Rd., just south of "Vau Cluse." He warned then that the stone, being in a cartpath, would soon be destroyed. Location from 1895 atlas of southern RI towns.
