Richardson included this site in his transcription of cemeteries on the basis of a single "rude stone" with the very worn name SHRIEVE near the top. His sketch shows a small plot within a field enclosed on the north, south, and east by stone walls, bordered on the west by the Old Colony railroad tracks, He speculated that Thomas Hazard, a first settler, was probably buried here as his house was just north of the lot.
