CommentThis cemetery is located 750 feet west of West Main Road on the property of Carnegie Abby Golf Club. From West Main Road turn west into Corys Lane and take the first right into the entrance to Carnegie Abby Golf Club. Follow this road until there is a sharp left turn and the cemetery is on the right before the turn. Gravestones for SETH ANTHONY and his wife ABIGAIL A., known only through the anonymous transcription in "Rhode Island Tombstone Inscriptions," circa 1900 at RIHS. The location was said to be "Old Christopher Barker Place now owned by Henry C. Anthony." From the 1895 atlas of southern RI, Henry C. Anthony owned a great deal of northern Portsmouth, much of it west of Route 114 and north of Willow St. Barb Austin found this cemetery and registered it with the aid of a monk. It is on the grounds of the Portsmouth Abby, west of Route #114, north of Cory's Lane and south of Willow Lane.
