CommentThis cemetery is located 20 feet south of Glen Road just behind the stone wall along the road. In a cow pasture near stone wall. This lot was recorded by George H. Richardson in 1892 (GHR). He described the location as "south side Glen Road of Portsmouth, Slocum estate." In addition to the four stones transcribed, he noted "a few rude stones." The accompanying sketch indicated nine stones in all. "Rhode Island Tombstone Inscriptions" (ANON), circa 1900, at RIHS has three inscriptions. At least one stone was recorded by the Benns circa 1936. Patricia Bodine visited this lot, unenclosed from the surrounding cow pasture, 9 Oct. 1975. She found only three legible stones, four illegible slates, and several fieldstones. Letty Champion photographed one gravestone here and another at the Portsmouth Historical Society in 2008.
