Located 1000 feet west of West Main St. (Rt. 114) on the Carnegie Abby Golf Course. "Rhode Island Tombstone Inscriptions" (ANON), circa 1900, lists 5 inscriptions, gives the location as "Old Amphrey Chase place now owned by Henry C. Anthony near Tieborn (sic) St., Portsmouth." State re-survey of historic cemeteries March 1970 found no evidence of a cemetery, advised against reordering a sign. Patricia Bodine and Denise Johnson, however, recorded what was left of this lot for CETA 27 Oct. 1975. Many stones were unreadable at that time, and the cemetery was both overgrown and piled with junk. Ian Kohl (IK) could not find in 1989.
