CommentCemetery transcribed by James N Arnold and recorded in Volume 25, pages 294-295 under Smithfield. He describes cemetery as: "On the Douglas Pike on the Patrick Hasseline farm, once the Smith Place below the railroad crossing in from the road. Lot fenced by iron rails and granite posts." Cemetery also transcribed by Irene Nebiker in the early 1970's. Cemetery was re-surveyed by Roger Beaudry on November 26, 1994. At the time of this survey there was but one footstone and 2 field stone markers still in their original position. All other engraved stones were leaning against the granite posts. How they became dislodged from their original postion is a matter of speculation. Transcribeed by Ron Farrar circa 1970. "Rankin Path, (Off Douglas Pike). Badly damaged."
