James Arnold #58, 3 May 1880. On knoll a few rods south west from the above yard (NK068) on opposite side of road in open lot and unprotected is a burial yard containing 10 graves. We are told were slaves of the Willett and Carpenter families. Whither there were more graves we know not though the plow has run forfully close. These were slaves of the Willett and Carpenter families. They were removed from their former lot off Carroll Rd. When several members of the Carpenter family were also removed to Riverside.
