West side of Shermantown Rd., on the land of #981. Lot is not enclosed though an old stone wall runs along north side. No vandalism but much of the lot is invaded by trees, vines & brush. James Sherman told Arnold in 1880 that his grandfather and grandmother Silas & Lydia are here marked by fieldstones S.S. & L.S., that his great grandparents Eber & Margaret and his great great grandparents William and Abby are all buried here. William was son of first settler Eber who is mentioned in 1661 as a witness to a deed concerning the Pettaquamscutt Purchase. James Sherman and his wife are buried in lot NK087 on the east side of Shermantown Rd. When Arnold visited here 18 March 1880, his #12, it was on the land of Miss Susan Sherman northwest of her house. Lot unprotected.
