CommentThis cemetery is 250 feet south of the west end of Foliage Drive from the SW corner of the last building (Composite Rigging in 2015). All are fieldstones, some according to Arnold were marked with initials and dates. Two were marked with full names. With the help of the present owner, many fieldstones graves were found, but only one with markings. All graves face east. Arnold enumerated these the SE graveyard on 31 July 1883, most with initials. SW lot is nearer to house, lying on an eastward on an eastward facing slope: Arnold counted 17 graves in four lines facing east. Most can be seen today. Owner of the farm said that when he came in 1955, there had been a veteran's flag there. Burgess found 10 graves. Burgess said this suggested this might be a Tourgee Lot. SW lot about 20' south of 2nd lot. Arnold and Burgess found six fieldstone graves. About four found in 1991. James Arnold visited here July 31, 1883, his #161 for the east lot and #162 for the west lot, "On land of William Burdick in open pasture and unprotected we find the following." and "In open pasture in lot west of the above lot entirely unprotected" Recorded by Althea McAleer, Beatrix Hoffius, and Deby Nunes for a 1992 book on North Kingstown cemeteries.
