CommentAt the end of private road marked "River Farm" off the east side of Tower Hill Road. It is slightly north of the Pierce Turkey Farm on the opposite side of Tower Hill Rd. Follow road about 1/3 mile, turn right at farmhouse, burial yard on left. Arnold on his visit, on 15 March 1880, his #28, located it "on the farm of the late Frederic Gardiner a short distance south of his house is an ancient Northup burial yard. Lot unprotected and in poor condition." He counted 64 other graves marked rudely. "Here undoubtedly lie some of the earliest settlers of this land." Recorded in 1939 by Burgess. Recorded by Althea McAleer, Beatrix Hoffius, and Deby Nunes for a 1992 book on North Kingstown cemeteries.
