CommentIf you are looking at this database on a small screen you will have trouble reading the numbers on the map. The Map is reproduced in the book on Elm Grove Cemetery published by Althea McAleer. Started about 1879. No records kept before 1912. This cemetery covers 44 acres. Recorded in 1880 by James Arnold - "At Allentown on east side of road is this cemetery the only public one in the town." his #132 (only 3 inscribed stones were in this cemetery then.) Recorded in 1932 by Grace Tillinghast Recorded 1n 1990s by Althea McAleer for a book published in 2000 documenting all stones and records. Althea consulted the cemetery records to check middle names and maiden names not on the gravestone. These have been added but are enclosed in square brackets [ ]. Gravestones were photographed in 2016 by Julie Nathanson.
