Off Sedgefield Rd in woods. Enter right rear of pole 4, across from #33 Sedgefield Rd. Faint trail leads across a small stream, westerly up hill to Rolling Rock. Burial ground is 50-75' to the right near large rock outcrop. Sign standing; remains of old wall on two sides. This was called by Arnold, 24 July 1882, his #147, a graveyard for negroes. Others have claimed it a slave burial ground for the Smith family whose yard lies nearby. Most likely not an Indian burial ground since Indians usually did not mark their dead with fieldstones. Recorded by Althea McAleer, Beatrix Hoffius, and Deby Nunes for a 1992 book on North Kingstown cemeteries.
