CommentLocated on Stony Lane, opposite Burnt Cedar Dr. It is 125 feet northeast of Stoney Lane, 700 feet northwest of Huling Road. Entrance is through gate of white wooden pickets. A 125 foot right of way leads to graveyard. Lot is walled, divided into two parts by a grassy lane, Lawton on left, Smith on right. Lawton side well maintained, Smith side, vines, brush, small trees have been cut and allowed to fall on stones. Lot is enclosed by a finished stone wall. James Arnold visited this lot May 1, 1881, his #97, "In the Smith Cemetery a lot well walled and in prime order we find the following. We note that granite posts mark the corner of a larger yard so as to include eventually an acre of ground." Recorded by Althea McAleer, Beatrix Hoffius, and Deby Nunes for a 1992 book on North Kingstown cemeteries.
