Comment | Frank T Calef transcribed lot in 1941. His transcription, listed as Lot
11, is found on pages 40-43 and he describes it as:
"A short distance beyond Butterfly Factory to the fork of roads"
Charles & Martha Benns transcribed lot and assigned it #236. Their
transcription is in Volume II page 237.
James N Arnold transcibed lot. It is in Volume 15, pages 72-74. He
describes it as "Beside the road leading toward the Pike north of B.
Comstock house, lot walled but badly neglected."
Grace G Tillinghast added to Arnold's transciption on Sept 3, 1932. Her
transcription is located in Volume 15, page 143. Her description of lot is
"Great Road to Albion, opposite side of Col Aldrich house."
She also mentions it on page 138 but says only that "Briggs Lot on knoll
opposite of Col Aldrich House"
Ethel M White transcribed lot in the 1930's.
"Briggs Lot Great Road Limerock"
Transcribed by Ron Farrar who described lot as follows:
"Dexter Rock Rd, near Great Road"
Transcribed by Roger Beaudry on January 21, 1995. At the time of this
transciptio it appeared as though the lot had undergone a cleanup, many
trees had been cleared and brush removed. The yard was generally covered
with weeds. The only down side to the cleanup was the fact that some stones
had been moved from their original location, and that footstones and
headstones did not match up. In fact some footstones were in line with
headstones. Such a restoration did not do justice to the lot. |
